The practical ways to reduce your carbon footprint (that actually work)

The topic of buying a new car came up on the weekend but having briefly looked around there's still a lack of hybrid, let alone electric, options to buy. It was easy enough to pick out a petrol mode, but as we already have one hybrid, climate change is something we really be conscious of in our next purchase it would just be nice if manufacturers were as thoughtful or forward thinking as their customers.

Stone Cold Steve Austin on Hot Ones

Great guest for the season finale. I have a lot of memories from the early 2000s watching Stone Cold, The Rock, Kurt Angle and many more going at it in the ring so this was a fun one for me.

How Football and Grime Music Inspired the UK's Sneaker Culture

Complex's Sole Origins series returned for a second season a few week ago. In this episode they cover sneaker culture in the UK.

I used to visit stores weekly just to look around but since I stopped working in the city over 10 years ago, it's difficult to keep up.

"Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus" trailer

Looks like this will be available to watch from tomorrow. Odd but nice that Netflix are reviving old Nickelodeon shows like Invader Zim and Rocko's Modern Life.

How open-source will Tumblr become?

$3million for Tumblr is insane. I'm pleased that Tumblr continues to live on and with new ownership and I really hope there's lots of love and attention. But I'd rather not see the two combine. Tumblr's barrier to entry is really low and serves a slightly different purpose to Wordpress. Bringing them together doesn't make much sense to me. Wordpress itself should look to better compete with Medium.com.

There's more on the topic over at Axios.
