You can easily replace Slack with Chrome or any number of apps that love to get the old fans spinning. This is something that always astounds me when watching pieces on Nasa's history. The phones in our pockets now have thousands times more power than the computers used when 'we' put men on the moon.
Draws parallels with the cost of the internet. As speeds increase and bandwidth becomes unlimited, rather than making access faster, web pages just get heavier so we don't often see the benefit.
