Instagram head: Here's why Facebook shouldn't be broken up

Instagram head Adam Mosseri rejected the notion that Facebook should be split up, claiming that doing so would hurt the social networks' ability to fight election fraud and other big issues.

...

Speaking at Code Conference, Mosseri noted that there are more people at Facebook working on integrity and safety at Facebook than all the people working on Instagram. "If you split us up you would cut that off," he said.

So the reason not to break up Facebook is because they're working on integrity and safety... There's very no integrity to how they monetize users – it just feels buzzwords and toeing the company line.

As for fighting election fraud, stop taking money from any politicians and ban political adverts. If it means that much to you, stop looking at it as a revenue stream and accept it for what it is: a big problem.

More of on improving Facebook.
