Unweaving the Mystery: Apple's FineWoven Case Under the Microscope

While I totally back Apple's move away from leather in their products, fine woven seems like a misstep. The leather cases were truly great cases. I had one for my iPhone 8 Plus and it lasted longer than any other case I have ever owned. It aged beautifully and even when it was dirty it looked good.

Maybe they'll refine this material over time, but you'd have thought they would have put the effort in already.

iFixit also pointed out that the fine woven watch bands have marks on them already. They're £149. Not good.
