New emojis are a huge boon for security
From first hand experience this week, this is most certainly true. Share a new emoji in Messages, WhatsApp or on any social network and if someone tells you they can't see it or they see a question mark (or other character), the response is usually you need to update your software.
John Collison's follow up suggestion to hold back emojis to help deal with major bugs is a funny but interesting one. Would it help roll updates out faster? For iOS maybe, but adoption is already very fast paced. Android is far more fragmented and updates are not guaranteed.
If you haven't updated already, you'll need to so that you can see this: ?

Candycars: Wooden die-cast cars
These cars look great and are the 8th offering from Candylab Toys. This round of cars look like they were lifted straight from the game PAKO 2. I've linked to their toys before and really do think they're great little toys for the boys of any age.
Price: $6+

Netflix set to unveil deal with the estate of Roald Dahl
... the deal would involve the creation of a substantial volume of original animated content based on some of the late Mr Dahl's books under the Netflix banner.
The BFG was one of my favourite animated films growing up and I've loved many of Roald Dahls books. If this plays out, I wonder what Netflix will pick first. Hopefully not another remake...
