The FTC and Facebook are negotiating a record, multibillion-dollar fine for the company's privacy lapses

Finally, billions, not millions. Fuck these negotiations: tell them it's $20 billion and take them to court if they don't accept it.

Nail on the head there from John Gruber. A $20 billion fine would equate to approximately $10. Facebook paid less than $29 a user when they bought Instagram.

Facebook's constitutional moment

This kind of approach from Facebook feels like it's all coming to a head too late. The damage has been done.

I was catching up on an episode of BBC's Panorama yesterday where they looked at 'duisrupters' in the food space but this particular bit, around the 7:13 mark hits the nail on the head:

Making gourmet Ferrero Rocher

Ferrero Rocher were a real treat for us when we were kids, usually around Christmas. I sometimes still eat the chocolate, then the wafer and then the filling. There's nothing like a bald Rocher ball!
