A disability advocate preserves his voice with iPhone

I've been meaning to use this feature since iOS 17 came out. When it was announced at WWDC, I had some plans for the feature but not sure how/where you invoke it from so I've got some exploring to do!

Why Reebok Lost

Reebok was the first brand I was really aware of because of their affiliation with Liverpool FC from the mid 90s to the mid 2000s. Their relationship only ended after Adidas bought them out and took over the relationship.

I wasn't a big sneaker head, or particular cool when it came to fashion, but that football affiliation meant they were the first brand I brought something from.

Around 2003-05 they also entered into partnership with Pharrell Williams to create the Ice Cream brand. They were premium and limited which made them valuable.

Why Electrified Classic Cars Make More Sense Than You Realise

It continues to be a dream of mine to electrify a Mercedes-Benz SEC. Nice to see other German cars from the same era are being giving upgrades.

TERROR ON REPEAT: A rare look at the devastation caused by AR-15 shootings

Not often I say this here, but the content of this article from the Washington Post is very powerful but might not be NSFW.

I actually feel so sad after scrolling through it and watching some of the videos. How anyone can advocate for gun ownership, let alone automatic weapons, is beyond me.

‘But What Do We Do if Google Is Legitimately Just a Better Search Engine?'

This makes me think back to the mid-2000s when Sky lost their 'monopoly' over Premier League football. I'm not saying that choice isn't good, but to watch all the games available in the UK, you need to subscribe to 3 services; Sky, TNT & Amazon Prime.

From one cost to three. For me, this is failed regulation that benefited only the bottom line of the Premier League and has massively driven up the cost for all fans.

I think Google still has the best results for searching, once you're past adverts. But, I'm finding using a ChatGPT conversation will steer me in the right way. I'd prefer attribution for it's answers so that it was more transparent and so I can instantly cross-reference.

As a "content creator", I find SEO a nightmare. As a regular searcher, then for most of queries, Google's search product continues to be the best at what it does, it's just riddled with too many ads.

Nile Rodgers & CHIC Tiny Desk Concert

The best Tiny Desk in a while. I feel like I knew but completely forgot that Nile Rodgers was behind the Coming To America soundtrack and what a reminder from the band.

This map shows the 50 countries in the world where you can (mostly) drink the tap water

Especially interesting to me as we've just recently come back from Rome where you can not only drink from the tap, but there are publish drinking fountains that constantly deliver water for everyone to enjoy.
