Facebook's constitutional moment

This kind of approach from Facebook feels like it's all coming to a head too late. The damage has been done.

I was catching up on an episode of BBC's Panorama yesterday where they looked at 'duisrupters' in the food space but this particular bit, around the 7:13 mark hits the nail on the head:

The attitude and actions of these companies should be worrying us all.

1969 in photos

Of course Apollo 11 features but the photos of the Twin Towers (World Trade Centre) being erected is something else.

Making gourmet Ferrero Rocher

Ferrero Rocher were a real treat for us when we were kids, usually around Christmas. I sometimes still eat the chocolate, then the wafer and then the filling. There's nothing like a bald Rocher ball!

I Am Richard Pryor trailer

Richard Pryor is up there with the best comedians of all time for me. I'd never seen black and white footage of him, he looks completely different.

Casio's touch screen calculator watch is almost as old as me

The AT-552 Janus watches by Casio were released in 1984 and support touch screen gestures to allow you to use the inbuilt calculator.

They're not cheap, a minimum of £233 on eBay for a pre-owned one and around £500+ for a 'new' one.

We have a calculator in our pockets at all times now so there's unlikely to be much appeal for this type of functionality but from the demo in the video it looks accurate and it's pretty stylish.
