Mercedes-Benz SEC series At least to me, the Mercedes-Benz SEC is just a beautiful car.

Week 248.0 — 25th July '22

While I’d love to electrify a Mercedes’ Benz sec, I would be more than happy to own and operate a petrol driven version of the car that’s I covet the most.

If you were to browse through my Instagram account you might spot the odd photo of various Mercedes-Benz' from that era.

While I’ve driven a few Mercs in my time, they’ve all been modern versions. All have been great to drive. Comfortable too. But none have had that look about them. The sillhouete of a Mercedes from the 80s are just the best looking range of cars to me. The SEs, the SLs and most of all, the SEC.

I’m not sure I could deal with the instrument cluster in the car. They've come a really long way since the SEC's debut and even further since it was discontinued. I wouldn’t even need an AMG version, I’d be happy with a standard model.

I’d put this car to the back of my mind but a recent splurge of time on YouTube looking at various Mercedes models and features caused "the algorithm" to bring it all back.

If you'd like to dive deeper, I've started putting together a YouTube playlist on the Mercedes-Benz SEC.

🤞 One day.
