Ways to Change the World: Jameela Jamil

When my daughter is a bit older and inevitably feeling the pressures of her peers and social media, I'll play this podcast to her. It's inspiring to see Jameela Jamil use her platform in a positive way and not solely for financial gain and fame.

Car Masters: Rust to Riches trailer

The premise of the show reminds me of Lords of the Car Hoards/Rusted Development which features ex-pro wrestler Chuck Palumbo.

Take something old and turn it into something new is a now well recycled formula for car shows and it's fun to see the results. LotCH was unique in that it not only turned an old car into something new, it also helped to clear the insane collection of cars that people had hoarded with the intention of restoring one or more some day.

Netflix's Fastest Car looked fun, but turned out to be a bit of a non-event. Only the last 10-15 minutes was of any interest so I hope this new show is more exciting.

BBC x NERD astronaut logo tees

I've been a huge fan of N*E*R*D for almost 20 years and this collaboration with Pharrell's othing line is spot on. Feels like it should have happened sooner given the lyrics from a song on their second album:

Pharrell Williams' Ice Cream debuts 'Made in Italy' luxury shoes

More than 10 years ago I saw a pair of Ice Cream shoes in the Harvey Nichols store in London featuring the Diamond Dollar pattern. They were bold and expensive. After a fallout with Reebok, prices dropped from £125 down to about £50 and I bought two pairs of the second releases which had patterns that were a little more subtle.

Fast forward to the release of the Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream brands and a different, cheaper shoe was made available. Available in more locations, there was nothing remarkable about it. I really liked the original shoes but these were not great to look at. In the EU at least, apparel is the focus and apart from the odd collaboration between Pharrell and Adidas or Timbaland, we've not seen much noteworthy footwear. Until now.

These 'Made in Italy' look premium and feature embroidery patterns instead of prints. They won't be in my price range or practical but I'm pleased to see something new bearing the Ice Cream label coming out again.

Jordan X PSG collection

Experience the unbelievable collaboration between the greatest athlete of all time and the sickest football club in the world.
Riiiiight. Only one of those two statements could be said to be true. The collection is pretty nice though, featuring black and white pieces rather than PSG's traditional navy, red and white. There's some red items too which look really good.
