How this border transformed a subcontinent

Here in the UK, the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 have covered India's independence fairly well over the past 10 years and I know more about it than I ever thought I would, but there's so much to the story.

I had no idea about this 'second' site of importance to Sikhs. I visited the Golden Temple 10 years ago, although if I had known, there's little chance I would have had to make that journey to see it.

'Eating Animals' trailer

I came across this on an episode of the BBC's film review podcast. Sounds like really interesting viewing. I'm a big meat lover, but have a greater appreciation behind the sentiment of going vegan.

Jony Ive to form independent design company with Apple as client

Jony Ive has collaborated on a number of products with Marc Newson before, so not a surprise that they've decided to embark on a joint venture. The collection that stands out most in my mind was their Product (RED) auction where they sold a one of pair of rose gold AirPods.

The title really should have been 'Jony Ive is to leave Apple', John Gruber has a good take on it all, as usual.

Tesla Model 3 vs Merc-AMG, BMW M3 & Alfa Giulia QV drag race

The thing that struck me most watching this on Top Gear this past weekend was how ordinary the Model 3 looks. It's a serious machine and does not appear anywhere near as attractive at the other three in the lineup. Performance may be very good by standard but Tesla are in need of a tuning arm.
