Tracklib's Sample Breakdown

Week 312.0 — 16th October '23

I stumbled upon Tracklib thanks to Instagrams algorithm and got in a bit of a rabbit hole on YouTube watching their Sample Breakdown videos.

Their videos are generally about a minute long and breakdown not only where the sample is from but how it was chopped up and reused. Sometimes the sample is unrecognisable or mixed with another sample to create something unforgettable.

Regulate by Warren G feat. Nate Dogg Sample Breakdown

Loyalty by Kendrick Lamar feat. Rhianna Sample Breakdown

Tipsy by J-Kwon Sample Breakdown

I would recognise 'Tipsy' anywhere, it's a song from my youth but there is absolutely no way I would have believed that there was a sample from Queen's 'We Will Rock You'.

I don't know idea how samples come together like this and it's blown my mind a few times watching their videos.
